ReeDell McClennon-Young, 69, daughter of the late Clyde McClennon and Freddie Mae Smith-McClennon, was born in Daisy, Georgia on January 29, 1953. She departed this life on November 27, 2023.
She is predeceased by five sisters, Betty R. Williams, Delores M. Jones, Joyce A. Holland, Mary McClennon, and Margie McClennon, and one brother Clyde McClennon, Jr.
At an early age, ReeDell professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She attended Evans County Public schools and graduated from Evans County High School in Claxton, Georgia. She had many hobbies, shopping, spending time with family, but her most enjoyed was traveling. She spent many years overseas in Germany with her late ex-husband, Robert Young.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sister Joan McClennon-Hollaway (James) of Newark, NJ, her dear friend Johnny Burch of Claxton, GA and a special niece, Vicki McClenon-Spence. Also surviving are a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, her Mt. Pleasant family, friends, many well-wishers.
