Patricia Diane (Porter) Baynes

     On May 14, 1951 in Evans County, GA Patricia Diane Porter Baynes was born to Lonza and Olivia Porter. She accepted Christ at an early age being guided by a Christian family.

     She joined Hagan Chapel Missionary Baptist Church as a young girl and then later moved her membership to Holy Jerusalem in Savannah, GA.

     Pat attended Evans County Long Horn School and also Savannah Technical College. Her education in sewing and textile lead her to many years of doing what she mastered for years. She worked for Tillies Bridal Shop downtown Savannah, GA and also had her personal business of sewing and alteration at home.

    Pat met and married Ronald Jay Baynes and to this union two children were born Pamphylia Dinisha Baynes and Roshuel Jaseth Baynes both of Savannah, GA; step children Shaquita, Salethia and Ronald Jose Baynes all of Savannah, GA and one grandchild Roshon Baynes. A special nephew that she helped raise, Kai (Renecial) Porter.

   She leaves many to cherish her memory, her mother Oliva Baker Porter, two sisters Chenita Porter and Sharon (Reginald) Cooper; three brothers McArthur Porter, Edwin (Tashika) Porter and Daryl (Rhonda) Littles; two aunts Estean Swanson and Ollie Mae Baker.

  Others holding her dear memories are nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Patricia Baynes of Atlanta, GA and brother-in-law Donald Baynes of Savannah, GA.

Our dear one was called away
And has gone with the Lord to stay
Although this passing makes us weep
We rejoice our loved one rests safe in Gods keep
