Life Reflections
Mary L. Christian (Cookie), the daughter of the late Pearla Mae Grant and Milliard Seabrooks was born July 26, 1943. In her early life she attended Screven County schools and later in life, she attended nursing school. She then became an entrepreneur with her late husband, Frank Leon Christian. They married in November 1967, and to this union five children were born.
Mary L. Christian passed away Friday July 5, 2024, in the presence of her daughter at Evans Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Frank L. Christian, both of her parents, two sisters, Babara A. King and Amy L. Burns, one brother, Ray Charles Seabrooks.
She is survived by her five children, Steve Christian of New York, Bernard Christian, Samantha Christian Johnson (Erving), Lawrence Christian and Randy Christian All of Glenville, GA. Three sisters, Janie l. Doe of Glennville, GA. Mammie L. Sanders of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Pearla Harvey of South Carolina. Three brothers; Milliard of New York, Millard Seabrooks and Charles Seabrooks of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Eighteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
