Helen Jones the daughter of the late Rachel and Murray White Sr. was born on July 6, 1941 in Polkton, NC. Helen went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2021. She was married 63 years to the late Roosevelt Jones Jr., which preceded her in death along with one daughter Marenda Jones; sister Geraldine Green and two brothers Leon White, Larry White and brother-in-law Lindsey.
Helen was educated in the public-school system in Elizabeth, NJ, where she attended Battin High School. Helen worked at Romerovski Brothers in Westfield, NJ for many years. Afterwards she was an employee at John Marshall School 20 years as a lunch aide. She found her passion when she got her certification being a Home Health Aids. She worked for Patient Care from 1997 to 2001 before retiring and moving to Glennville, GA. Helen had a great spirit that would light up the room with her smile.
Helen accepted the Lord at a young age where she became a member of New Zion Baptist Church lead by Reverend Green. She was a member of the choir throughout her membership. When moving to Georgia she then joined Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W. H. Miller.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories with three daughters Gwendalina Jones and Sonia Jones both of Glennville, GA and Helen V. Brewton (Barry) of Sutherland, VA; two sons Abdul-Qadir Muhammad of Glennville, GA and Curtis Jones (Tonda) of Somerset, NJ; five sisters Margaret Carter of Willingboro, NJ, Yvonne Davis (Robert) and Evelyn White both of Elizabeth, NJ, Barbara Jones (Kenny) of Glennville, GA, and Peggy White of Plainsboro, NJ; brother Murray White Jr. of Elizabeth, NJ and brother-in-law Fred.
She leaves 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
