Frank Jones Obituary

The Reflections of a Wonderful Life

Frank Elbert Jones was born on October 25, 1957 in Claxton, GA to the late Tom and Inezs Jones. Frank attended Claxton High School and learned all the skills to become a great farmer.  At an early age Frank heard the voice of God.  He was baptized at Green Cypress Baptist Church on May 4, 1986.  Although he never joined an auxiliary board, he was very supportive of his church, its members and especially the pastor.  Frank will always be remembered as a caring and giving soul, willing to give his last. Frank began his work experience at Antioch Farms and later became employed by Hillside Gardens.  He was a faithful and loyal employee for many years.

On June 3, 1978 Frank was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jerolene Calhoun Jones who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Orea Youmans, Vernell Byrd and one brother Tommy Lee Jones.

On the morning October 14, 2020, the Angels revealed Heaven’s doors as the Lord called Frank home.  He leaves to cherish six devoted sisters, Katherine Lane, Nellie Mae (Bert) Johnson both of Valdosta GA, LaVond Jones James of Renton WA, Aljetta McKinnon of Claxton GA, Gleander (James) Johnson of Decatur GA, Lellia Fay (Aldine) Riley of Lithonia GA; one god sister, Mae Cox of Statesboro GA and a host of loving, caring nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
