Reflections of Life
Our Queen Ella Mae Brown McCloud was born in Candler County, Georgia on December 22, 1951 to the late Johnny and Albertha Lee Brown. She was a loving and compassionate mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She attended and graduated from the Evans County School system in the class of 1971.
At a young age she joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Daisy, GA. She was a faithful and devoted member and served on the Nurse Aid and Mission Committees.
On February 20, 1969 she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Robert B. McCloud. From this union they were blessed with three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Albertha Lee Brown, husband Robert B. McCloud and daughter Trina D. McCloud; two sisters Gertice Appleby and Mary Ann Brewton; two brothers Johnny F. Brown and Paul L. Brown.
Ella Mae’s (Kootney) spirit continues to live in the hearts of her son, Robert L. McCloud and daughter Alicia McCloud both of Pembroke, GA; grandson Johnathan E. McCloud of Savannah, GA, additional daughter Tristen N. Glover and god-daughter Natasha Miller both of Pembroke, GA; sisters Edna Mae (Jimmy) McKever of Daisy, GA, Willie Jane McCray of Vidalia, GA and Bertha (Leroy) Clayton of Dorchester, MA; three faithful best friends Corrine (Vernard) Furman, Mary Dean Jones and Agnes “Libby” Rawls and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
