Doris Bacon Brown was born to the late Nathaniel Bacon and Wyonna (Nona) Williams on March 18, 1937 in Daisy, GA. She transitioned to eternal glory on May 9, 2024.
Doris attended Evans County School System during her educational years. From there, she went on to get her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over the course of her career, she worked at Evans Memorial Hospital, Claxton Nursing Home and various other nursing facilities. She also provided private duty nursing work to several families. Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. E. M. Solomon. As a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant, Doris served on the Nursing Guild and the Senior Mass Choir.
Doris had a passion for providing excellent service, caring for others, and being a hard worker with a kind, gentle soul. She was known by many people in the surrounding areas and was loved by all.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister Leona Bacon. Her beloved children: Marsha Ann Bacon, Jerry Middleton, Tony Bacon, Carlinda Bacon, Cheryl Brown Mincey (Eddie) (both preceded her in death), Shirlene Brown Carpenter, Vicky Brown and Chris Brown (Tajuana). Her beloved grandchildren: Toni Nicole (Keith), Kaila, Tony Jr., Sade, Brandon Nixon, Brandon (Chloe), Jessica, James Jr., Logan, Kaylan, Daniel, Tiffany, Orlandos, Greg and Donovan (preceded her in death), a special nephew Stacey Brown and a host of great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, relatives, church family, and friends to cherish her memory.
