Deloris Thelma (Hayes) Hayes

     Deloris Hayes was born in Waycross, GA on July 15, 1958 to the late Mr. Emanuel and Mrs. Thelma Hayes. She departed this life on Friday, October 15, 2022 at Evans Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  She was the seventh child of twelve siblings.  She was preceded in death by mother and father Mr. Emanuel and Mrs. Thelma Hayes, two brothers James Johnson Sr., Walter Johnson Sr., one sister Cynthia Hayes and a lifelong friend Mary Bacon.
     Deloris accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Historic Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.  She received her education in Bryan County and Evans County school system.
     Deloris was a wonderful person, who got along with everybody. She loved hanging out with her family and people loved to be around her.  She loved the Lord and had a wonderful spirit.  Deloris was full of joy and you could feel God all around her.
     She leaves to cherish her memories a loving devoted spouse of 42 years Mr. Charles Anthony Freeman and five joyful loving kids.  Lakisha (Cedric) Crews, Camille Hayes both of Collins, GA, Leon Hayes, Donald (Jasmine ) Hayes and Charles (Tiffany) Hayes; eighteen loving grands kids Delisaya Harris, Zadaya Byrd, Rashad Hayes, Jamon Hayes, Jamille Calhoun, Jakira Calhoun, Josh Hayes, Taraji Hayes, Charles Hayes Jr., Jemiah Johnson, Darfus Hayes, Shariyah Hayes, Kionna Fredrick, Jayceon Pope, Treveyah Brook, Jalayah Brooks and Sharyia Hayes; seven sisters Lillie Powell of Statesboro, GA, Christine Williams of Glennville, GA, Katherine Carrolls of Pembroke, GA, Juanita Hayes, Annie Bell Hayes, Betty Hayes, and Thelma Hayes all of Claxton, GA; one loving brother Donald Lee Hayes of Claxton, GA; two very special brother-in-law’s Stanley (Rene) Freeman, Ricky (Vicky) Freeman all of Claxton, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She will be missed by all her family and friends
