Charlie Jones

Charlie Jones was born on February 17, 1942, in Evans County Georgia to Douglas and Mary Jones.

Charles Jones, as he was affectionately known, joined Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and attended until he graduated high school and relocated to Boston, MA. Charles attended Evans County High School and graduated in the Class of 1961.

He married in Boston to the late Ada Williams to which one daughter was born (deceased). After many years Charles relocated to Elizabeth, NJ. He was previously employed in sales and children transportation services.   

Charles enjoyed music, dancing, cookouts, and travel. He had a fun, loving, and caring relationship with his relatives and many friends in Elizabeth.  Charles departed, Sunday, October 6, 2024, 2:30 p.m. at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ.

He leaves to cherish his memories sisters, Truemiller Bacon of Claxton, GA, and Deotha Johnson of Ludowici, GA; brothers, Willie D. Jones (Ruby) of Linden, NJ, Arnell (A.D.) Jones, (Marcel) of Jackson, MS.  Nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
