Catherine Brown

     Sister Catherine Brown was born to the late John and Roberta Brewton on April 13, 1926 in Evans county. She was married on June 28, 1947 to Rufus Brown Sr.  To this union seven children were born.  Preceded her in death her parents John and Roberta, husband Rufus Sr., three children Earnest, Ada, Artis and two brothers Willie Lee Brewton and Bennie J. Brewton.  Early on Thursday morning August 27, 2020 God saw that she was getting tired so, He said come and take your rest, good and faithful servant, she took his hand and said goodbye to this world and went to her eternal place with Him. 

     Catherine worked at Meadowbrook Manor in Miami for many years until her retirement.  She moved back to Daisy, GA in 1995, and she joined Historic Mt. Pleasant Church and served until her health failed.

    She leaves to cherish her memories loving children  Rufus Jr. (Mildred) of Metter, GA, Evelyn (Kenneth) of Daisy, GA, Donna (Marvin), Stanley (Abby) both of Atlanta, GA, and Dohngany Wesby of Miami, FL; one son-in-law Walter Slater of Glennville, GA; two sisters Louise Penn of Savannah, GA and Rosetta Burgees of Daisy, GA; two brothers Roosevelt Brewton of Claxton, GA and Felton Brewton of Daisy, GA; three sisters-in-law Lillie Brewton of Claxton, GA, Clara Brewton and Loretta Brewton both of Daisy, GA.

     A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
