Andrew Clarke, Jr.

     There comes a time in everyone’s life when we must depart from those we love here on earth to our heavenly home. That time came for Andrew Clarke Jr. in Groveland, GA at his home (“The Sand Hill”) on December 13, 2021. Junior was born on September 13, 1947 in Groveland, GA. To the late Andrew Clarke Sr. and the Late Thelma Porter.

     He was a truck driver and farmer on his own land for many years. He lived and breathed the fresh country air and chewed his tobacco from the age of 3 to the day before he passed away.
     He is preceded in death by his brother, father maternal and paternal grandparents, a son, a brother, and a grandson.

     He married the love of his life Louise Carroll of Pembroke, GA on June 03, 1968. Through this union they had 4 children, Carroll Stephanie Clarke of Lawrenceville, GA, Patricia Ann Hicks (Frankie) of Duluth, GA, Terrance Clarke of Thomason, GA, and Eugene Clarke (deceased).

     He was at the time of death married to Cora Mae Jinks Clarke of Groveland, GA. Junior had 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Paul Clarke (Carlette) of Groveland, GA and Richard Clarke of Statesboro, GA. Also, two aunts, Mrs. Mattlyn Moody of Detroit MI, Mrs. Cora Lee Shepherd of Queens, NY and goddaughter Antionette Henderson Paul. And a host of nieces, one nephew, cousins and friends.
