Alvin Ronald Bacon

     Alvin Ronald Bacon Jr. was born May 2, 1955 in Daisy, GA to Ommie L. Bacon and the late James G. Bacon. He departed this life on November 22, 2022 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, GA. Preceded him to Glory, four siblings, Eli, Gwen, Doretha and Diane.

     Alvin was raised by his beloved parents. He started his education in the Evans County School system. At the age 10 they moved to New Jersey where he attended the Union County School system in NJ.  Alvin worked as a restaurant cook where he served many people in his community. For many years Alvin worked at the Claxton Poultry and later at Ogeechee Heating & Air until he retired.  He worked to take care of himself, his mother and nephew until his health failed him.  Alvin was the oldest of the children and took on the role as a big brother.

     Alvin joined the New Zion Baptist Church in Elizabeth, NJ at the age of 14.  Years later in 1995 he moved back to Georgia and joined The Historic Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.  He was a member of the musician team and played the guitar.  

     He leaves to cherish his fond memories, a devoted mother Ommie L. Bacon, two sisters Frances Johnson and Tina Valmir all of Daisy, GA; eight nieces, ten nephews, twelve great nieces, seven great nephews and one great-great nephew.  A host of cousins, coworkers and friends.
